How She Got Started |
Katy
didn’t get started
playing hockey
until U12. She
has developed very quickly.
She
has a sister that played
hockey at
one time but no longer does.
Neither
one of her parents played
Katy has
always played with the girls.
She is a little bit of a rink
rat and looks for any opportunity to
skate. For example, she comes out
often and works with the little
girls in Mankato in the “learn to
play” program. |
To
reinforce how young
Katy
really is, last season
[as a 7th
grader]
during practice
she had to sit for a minute because
she pulled out one of her baby teeth
and had the take care of the
bleeding.

Katy is a terrific
young player. Her strong point
is her hands and her
ability to operate in small
space. She is joy to work with!

Katy did have a terrific
year. She continues to
dedicate herself to being
the best player she can be
both on and off the ice; it
is great to see that she is
being rewarded for all of
her hard work. |
